The student will learn first learn how to hold the sticks and understand why it’s best to hold them in a certain way. Reading is also something that I stress as it is the language of music and will help the student understand better what he or she is doing.
I teach drum set lessons from beginner to advanced. I am very big on technique. With out technique the student can only go so far.
Ultimately my goal is to provide drum set lessons that will get the student to where they want to be. In most cases the student wants to learn songs, so I work on the material that makes it easy for the student to learn songs.
