The snare drum is the fundamental instrument that can transfer to most percussion instruments. If you can play the snare drum, you can adapt to most of the percussion instruments. Snare drum lessons are essential for proper technique.

Some of the things I stress in my lessons are: hand technique, holding the sticks properly, reading.

Drumming can be very challenging at the high school level. Now that high school bands have become extremely competitive, it is essential for the student to be up to par with the current trends.

My goal is the help the student become proficient enough to tackle any situation he or she may encounter. I help the student with tryouts, orchestral, and rudimental drumming.

I also teach these techniques to my drum set students. This is so important for drum set players to understand. This is the glue to most percussion instruments. Once you understand and can have great hands, it’s just a matter of adapting it to the drum set and other percussion instruments.
